The Vow
by Denene Millner,
Angela Burt-Murray and
Mitzi Miller
Set against the ritzy and luxurious backdrop of Hollywood, three authors have succeeded in delivering a fresh novel about three friends who are ambitious and determined women.
The friendship includes:
Trista -- the hard working talent agent
Amaya -- the aspiring actress and
Vivian --the entertainment journalist.
At a friend's New Year's Eve wedding, they each pledge to develop a committed relationship with Mr. Right by the end of the New Year. That, however, is easier pledged than done. Trying to find Mr. Right in Hollywood is like finding a needle in a haystack.
From entertaining and amusing to confrontational and touching, these women will make you laugh, cry, yell and sigh.
The authors succeeded in creating plausible and authentic characters with no unbelievable and over the top drama. I was moved as I watched the characters grow and realize that just maybe before they found a partner they would first need to find themselves. It is always difficult navigating the path to real love. The situations these characters face are easy for us all to relate to.
The Vow is an engaging and gripping read that was fabulously executed by three special writers with three distinct styles. The diverse voices helped to give each character their own individuality and uniqueness and the pacing was smoothly executed. The Vow is a great read. I hope these authors hurry up and write another. Way to go!
