Tyra Show Winner... |
» I am pleased to announce to you that I was selected to go on the Tyra Show last week as one of her plus size model contestants (thanks to Maddy's post on your bulletin boards). And, I actually ended up winning the competition! I won a photo shoot w/ Jim Deyonker, a trip to NYC to meet w/ FORD, a fashion spread in FIGURE mag, and a Lane Bryant Shopping Spree. What a dream! The show will air sometime in March or April, it was so much fun. I had to let you know because if it wasn't for your site, I would have never found out about it. Thank you so much! Ashanna

» I absoluetley loved the magazine and all the information it offered on every thing, especially fashion. There hasn't been a magazine as good as this since MODE...FIGURE was out for a while, but the fashions just didnt' seem to be up to date or trendy enough for my taste and style. AmaZe hit it right on the nose. Good luck and please try to stay around -- curvy girls need you! LaKisha F.

Dear Chanel -- I remember you from the Curventures event in October. That was a wonderful networking and connecting event. » I truly appreciate AmaZe magazine because it has opened the doors to the plus size community in fashion. AmaZe magazine has brought a sense of fashion to big and beautiful girls. Now being plus size doesn't have to be such an issue anymore; you can be plus size and still have sex appeal. AmaZe really change my life and I would love to be one of your models. As you can image, we receive 100's of requests per week from women wanting to model for our magazine and website. Several years ago, we had to come up with a better system to keep track of all the AmaZing women that we might be interested in using :-) Now, when we are looking for models, we hire exclusively from agencies as well as from our searchable talent database at Venus Diva Modeling (powered by MuseCube). If we need a model in Texas, California, Florida, etc., we just go to our own Venus Diva Modeling database and search through the portfolios until we find someone we think is perfect for the job! Therefore, whether you have an agent or not, the best way for you to get invloved with us is to make sure that you have a portfolio with us. If you have an agent, you can list them on your portfolio and we will contact them to hire you.
