In our last issue, Amaze asked the question, "Who do you dare to be?" Denice Kennedy, our 'Life Coach' Editor and owner of Life Success Navigators sponsored our "Taking Action on My Passion" contest where she offered the lucky winner a 3 night/4 day vacation package for 2!
The entries poured in...what a passionate group of Amazing women you are! We were inspired by so many stories including Angelyn Michelle Anderson and Gayla Bentley -- but since there could only be one winner, we ultimately chose Annie Crenshaw from Fort Worth, TX as the winner of the vacation package for 2!
Here is Annie's winning entry...
I am a Rehabilitation Case Manager for Mental Health and Retardation. My passion is to continue to empower people into knowing in their hearts that all things are possible and that you can do anything that you set your mind to.
I retrain people everyday to do the simple things that others take for granted such as paying bills, cleaning their homes, managing symptoms of depression, selecting friends, evaluating decisions, disclosing information and requesting assistance. Even strangers that I meet I continue to pray with them and keep them encouraged about their lives and to let them know that life is beautiful and to make the most of it.
I help others -- my reward is knowing they have accomplished their goal and have made progress. It helps me to stay grounded and to know that what little I contributed made a whole world of difference in someone's life. Someday I pray that I can travel around the world to reach out to more people that are in need and ask "How can I help you to make your life better."
