Wear Something 'Daring' This Summer
by Terri Murray

Summer brings long, hot days and nights and you may be wearing more revealing clothes in lighter colors and fabric weights. Or maybe you're not because someone said you shouldn't or you don't think you can. So I double dare you to look for something a little more daring to wear this summer! Forget your inhibitions and shop to show off your curves! (Within reason, of course...) Your idea of daring may be different than mine, but I want to encourage you to reach outside your comfort zone and try something daring this season.

A good fit is very important, even more so, when shoulders, breasts, and legs are exposed. Be daring…… wear daring styles by themselves or add a piece or two underneath if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Dare to wear a short skirt above the knee if you are in your 20’s with a Capri length or longer leggings for a modern twist. Shorten last year's skirt and let it fray for this season's latest look. And if the legging has a cotton gusset, you can just wear the leggings 'sans panties,' thus eliminating VPL (visible panty lines).

Wear a shrug over a skimpy halter top that may be a little too revealing or a cami underneath, OR how about a long sleeve tee underneath a strapless bandeau top?

For a very clingy dress, pant or skirt, don't forget a body slimmer to give you clean smooth lines underneath. The new ones are very light, not hot and don't show lines. Check out Barely There from Hanes at JustMySize.com.

The new BRA6 by LaneBryant.com is great to wear under more revealing tops and dresses. It can be worn 6 ways: strapless, criss cross, halter, regular, one shoulder strap and it comes with 2 interchangeable -- clear back bands. The bra separates, enhances cleavage, is low in the front and back, has two adjusters in front and back for the straps and is available in sizes 36 - 44 and ranges from a B cup up to an E. What a great bra for underneath daring tops and dresses! Go ahead -- Go for it!
